At sunrise this morning, a few showers and thunderstorms have fired across the state. The largest batch of activity was located in NW part of the state from Garner to Spencer. A few isolated showers have also developed near Cedar Rapids and from Iowa City eastward to north of the Quad Cities. Outside of these showers and isolated thunderstorms, there will be partly sunny skies through the morning. More showers and thunderstorms will fire this afternoon and evening. None of them are expected to be severe.
