Heavy rain continues to fall across the southern part of the state. Numerous Flash Flood Warnings have been issued. The rain and thunderstorms were located south of Interstate 80 and that’s where they should remain for the rest of the day. To the north, cloudy skies with a few showers from time to time will be possible. There is still a slight risk of severe weather for the rest of the day for southern Iowa. There is however a moderate risk in the Kansas City Metro area. That’s where the best chance of severe weather to reside today.
