Storms are beginning to fire along a stationary front that is situated across the northern part of the state. A Low pressure is located in western Iowa near Sioux City with a trailing cold front extending southwestward into SE Nebraska. A Mesoscale disscussion a few minutes ago indicates a Severe Thunderstorm Watch will be issued in an hour or so for most of Iowa east of the advancing cold front.
