Early this afternoon, some scattered light to at times moderate rain was falling across the state. The heaviest rain was located from near Creston to Lamoni. Some heavier storms were in southern Minnesota along the Interstate 90 corridor from Blue Earth to Austin. This scattered activity will continue for the rest of the afternoon. Skies will remain generally cloudy with only a few peaks of sunshine possible especially in SE Iowa where the sun has been trying to poke out from time to time. This may lessen any chance for severe weather to develop later on today.
