The Storm Prediction Center has issued Severe Thunderstorm Watch #189 effective until 4pm for the following counties in Iowa, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, Shelby, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Ida, O’Brien, Osceola, Plymouth, Sioux, Woodbury, Audubon, Calhoun, Carroll, Cass, Crawford, Emmet, Greene, Guthrie, Hancock, Humboldt, Kossuth, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Sac, Webster, Winnebago and Wright. Thunderstorms are currently developing in SE Nebraska and SW Iowa. These storms will have the capability to produce large hail and damaging winds in and close to the watch area.
