Flash Flood Watch Issued

The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a Flash Flood Watch which goes into effect at 6pm this evening and will be in effect until 1pm Monday for the following counties in Iowa, Benton, Buchanan, Delaware, Dubuque, Iowa, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk, Linn and Washington. The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Flash Flood Watch which goes into effect at 6pm this evening and will be in effect until 10am Monday morning for the following counties, Adair, Adams, Appanoose, Black Hawk, Boone, Bremer, Butler, Cass, Clarke, Dallas, Davis, Decatur, Grundy, Guthrie, Hardin, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Story, Tama, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Warren and Wayne. The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Flash Flood Watch which goes into effect at 6pm this evening and will be in effect until 7am Monday morning for the following counties, Allamakee, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Floyd, Howard, Mitchell and Winneshiek. Heavy rain will once again move over the state later today. With rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches already having occurred, anymore rain may lead to flash flooding in streams, creeks and low-lying areas. The heaviest rain is expected to fall later this afternoon and tonight when the watch will be in effect.
