The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Flash Flood Warning until 10pm for Black Hawk County. This includes Waterloo and Cedar Falls. There is also a Flash Flood Warning in effect until 7:30pm for Fayette County. Very heavy rain has fallen in both Black Hawk and Fayette counties over the last few hours and with more heavy rain coming later tonight, the risk of flash flooding is likely to increase over the next few hours. A report of 18-24 inches of water flowing through an intersection in Waterloo has been reported.
