All of Iowa

Damp and Dreary

The cold front has moved almost out of the state early this afternoon, only extreme southeast Iowa was still in the summer-like weather that was found in most of the state yesterday. Fort Madison and Keokuk are currently in the 70s while most of the rest of the state is holding in the 40s and 50s. There is no significant rain on radar across the state early this afternoon, but some light rain, drizzle or mist will be possible throughout the rest of the afternoon. There is still a slight risk of Severe weather for extreme southeast Iowa today and tonight, mainly along and ahead of the cold front which is becoming stationary at this time. That front will begin to move back to the north later tonight. There is still a slight risk of severe weather for Sunday and Sunday night across the southeastern 3/4ths of the state. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats, however some tornadoes may also be possible, although the main area for tornadoes on Sunday will be to the south and southwest in Kansas and Oklahoma where a Moderate Risk is located.
