Another Week of Mostly Dry

This week will be another week of mostly dry weather across the state. Today is one of the exceptions with a few sprinkles and light showers rotating down from Minnesota effecting the eastern part of the state. It will be very windy as well with winds gusting to 40mph at times. A Wind Advisory has been issued in western Iowa today, along with Extreme Fire Danger. Temperatures this week will start out very cool but quickly warm back up and will touch 80° by late this week into the weekend. Showers and thunderstorms will return late on Saturday and last through the weekend into the first part of next week. It is too early to determine whether these storms could become severe.
