All of Iowa

Not Enough Rain

What looked like a good rainfall coming into the state this weekend has turned into quite a dud. Early this afternoon most of the rain has moved east and south of the state with only the SE part of the state and a small strip in northern Iowa still recieving some light rain. The chances of rain next week are looking slim (Slight chances Monday afternoon, and then by next weekend) so more counties could be put under burn bans. Most places recieved less than a quarter inch of rain. A Severe Drought exists currently in SE Minnesota into northern Wisconsin, when the new drought monitor comes out this week, it will not be a surprise if parts of NE Iowa are included in some kind of drought conditions. A big shift from last years deluge of rain.
