Another Day of Warm and Dry Weather

Temperatures will easily top 70 degrees today statewide, a few high clouds will drift into the state late this afternoon from an approaching storm that has been slow to move in the Rockies. The long stretch of dry weather has led to numerous grass fires across the state and a number of counties have now issued Burn Bans. The storm will move in this weekend, mid-day Saturday west of Interstate 35 and Saturday afternoon to the east. Rainfall will be generally 1/2 to 1 inch with this storm. The storm will exit the state on Monday. Temperatures will cool off into the 50s Monday and Tuesday before a gradual warmup back into the 70s by late next week.
