Continued Dry

Dry and Warm weather is forecast to continue today and tomorrow across the state. The dry weather has led a number of counties in the state to enact burn bans. Numerous grass fires have been reported over the last few days because of the dry vegetation and dry air. Dewpoints this morning are higher than previous days, but the air is still dry. A few clouds are moving into the state this afternoon and that is expected to continue today with more substantial cloudiness expected on Friday. A storm system to our south will rotate through this weekend into early next week bringing chances of some rain. Amounts will likely be between 1/4 and 3/4 of an inch. Temperatures today and tomorrow will be in the 60s and 70s, with cooler readings this weekend. Another warmup is forecast next week with readings heading back into the 60s at that time.
