All of Iowa, Winter Weather

Snowfall Update #3 (4/4/09)

Snow, heavy at times continues to fall in the northwestern part of the state. Meanwhile showers and isolated thunderstorms are moving through central Iowa at this time. A lot of the lightning has decreased in the last few hours, but a clap or two of thunder is not out of the question with these showers as they move to the northeast. Rain will switch to all snow or a mix by early morning across the southern 2/3rds of the state. A few places in South Dakota and Nebraska already have recieved over 6 inches of snow with more to come.
