A Slight Risk of Severe Weather covers the western 2/3rds of Iowa for Monday. The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds with an isolated tornado possible but mainly west of US Hwy 71 where the best shear will likely setup for rotating thunderstorms. A Low Pressure System will move from the four corners region into the southern part of South Dakota early Monday morning. Showers and Thunderstorms will develop along the cold front in SE South Dakota into Nebraska. These storms will move into Iowa late Monday afternoon into Monday night. The thunderstorms will become non-severe the further east they get. The best chance for tornadoes with this storm will remain where there will be more instability with higher dewpoints, in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.
