Flood Update

The following rivers are currently under a flood warning as of this morning, The English River at Kalona, The Des Moines River at St. Francisville MO, The Mississippi River at Burlington, The Skunk River at Augusta, The Des Moines River at Keosauqua, The Cedar River at Conesville, The Iowa River at Marengo, Lone Tree, Columbus Junction and Wapello, The North Skunk River near Sigourney, The South Fork of the Chariton River at Promise City, The South Skunk River at Ames, The North River at Norwalk, The Middle River at Indianola, The South Skunk River at Oskaloosa, The Chariton River at Chariton, Cedar Creek at Bussey, Beaver Creek at New Hartford, The Des Moines River at Ottumwa and The Des Moines River at Eddyville. Some of the flooding may be aggrevated by another round of rain set to occur later tonight into Tuesday. Rainfall amounts from this next storm will not be as heavy as the previous one, mainly amounts of 1/2-1 inch. Creeks and streams outside these forecast points will likely remain high through the week while many of the rivers will be above flood stage at least through the upcoming weekend.

UPDATE: Noon, The Wapsipinicon River at Anamosa and the Mississippi River at Keokuk have been added to the flood warning list.
