The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch which goes into effect at 7pm tonight and will be in effect until Noon Tuesday for the following counties, Appanoose, Davis, Decatur, Lucas, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Poweshiek, Wapello, Wayne, Cedar, Clinton, Henry, Iowa, Jefferson, Johnson, Keokuk, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott, Washington, Des Moines, Van Buren and Lee. More rain on top of already saturated and/or frozen soil is expected to lead to the possiblity of more flash flooding across the southeastern part of Iowa tonight into Tuesday. Rainfall is expected to be between 1-2 inches with isolated heavier totals possible.
