Another Morning of below zero temperatures with Monticello and Mason City topping the list at -2°, Waterloo and Decorah with -1°. Temperatures will rebound today into the 20s to lower 30s with sunny skies. Temperatures will begin a warmup ahead of the next storm at mid-week. Highs Tuesday through Thursday will be in the 30s and 40s which will melt quite a bit of the snowpack across the state. The next storm will bring a plethora of weather with rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow. Total liquid amounts will range between 1/4-3/4 of an inch, most of that in the form of rain. It’s too early to determine how much snow will fall from this storm. It is certain that the weather will remain calm and tranquil through Tuesday however.
