Light to Moderate snow is moving through the state this evening. The heaviest concentration was located in NC and NE Iowa. Roads are becoming snow covered in NC Iowa and this will continue to spread across the eastern half of the state overnight. Accumulations of 3-8 inches will be possible east of a Mason City to Muscatine line with lighter amounts to the SW. The cold front is already sweeping into the state with strong northwest winds being reported in NW Iowa. Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect. Since the last post this morning, the Winter Storm Warning has been expanded to include Fayette, Clayton, Buchanan, Black Hawk, Bremer and Butler counties.
