We are beginning to get a grasp on the upcoming storm that will move into the state on Tuesday. It should begin as rain in the south and rain/snow mix to the north, with a possiblity of a thunderstorm in SE Iowa (but that’s to be determined on the track of the low). It will switch to all snow by Tuesday night and end sometime Wednesday afternoon. Snowfall accumulations look to generally be between 1-4 inches, but isolated higher amounts may be possible. After that another plunge of cold air will move in, leaving temperatures around 10° below average through the beginning of next week with highs in the 20s to around 30 and lows in the single digits and teens.
