As we’ve been talking about for the last few days the possibility of severe weather. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk of Severe Weather for Today for the SW 1/4 of Iowa mainly southwest of the Des Moines Metro. The main threats will be large hail and gusty winds, with a very isolated tornado possible. Some isolated severe weather could also move into the rest of the state but the chances are less, especially the further NE from the risk area. The main chances for storms will be in the afternoon into the early evening (2-8pm)
