Temperatures at mid-afternoon were barely above zero in NE and EC Iowa while in the teens in the western half of the state, after morning lows that bottomed out between 0 in SW Iowa and -15 in northern Iowa. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued in SW and WC Iowa beginning at 6pm this evening and lasting until 6am Monday morning. The counties included are, Monona, Harrison, Shelby, Pottawattamie, Mills, Montgomery, Fremont and Page. Snow accumulations from this storm will range to between 2-6 inches by the time the snow tapers off on Monday morning. Additional Advisories are possible as this storm moves closer.
