Winter Weather Advisories have been issued until mid afternoon for blowing snow with the gusty northwest winds ushering the cold air in. The counties in the Winter Weather Advisory include, Boone, Calhoun, Carroll, Crawford, Greene, Sac, Black Hawk, Bremer, Butler, Cerro Gordo, Emmet, Franklin, Grundy, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Humboldt, Kossuth, Marshall, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Story, Tama, Webster, Winnebago, Worth, Wright, Dickinson, Clay and Buena Vista.
A Wind Chill Advisory has also been issued until tomorrow morning for the following counties, Dickinson, Clay, Buena Vista, Sioux, Cherokee, Ida, Osceola, O’Brien, Lyon, Mitchell, Howard, Winneshiek, Allamakee, Floyd, Chickasaw, Fayette, Clayton, Black Hawk, Bremer, Butler, Cerro Gordo, Emmet, Franklin, Grundy, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Humboldt, Kossuth, Marshall, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Story, Tama, Webster, Winnebago, Worth, Wright, Buchanan, Delaware, Dubuque, Benton, Linn, Jones, Jackson, Iowa, Johnson, Cedar and Clinton. Wind Chills this evening into tonight may fall to -20 or below, actual temperatures will fall to a few degrees either side of zero by tomorrow morning. Only a few flurries will accompany this storm as it moves through.
