A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued which will begin at Midnight tonight and be in effect until 6am Saturday morning for the following counties, Mitchell, Howard, Winneshiek, Allamakee, Floyd, Chickasaw, Fayette, Clayton, Buchanan, Delaware, Dubuque, Benton, Linn, Jones, Jackson and Clinton.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until Midnight tonight for the following counties of Lyon, Osceola, Dickinson, Sioux, O’Brien and Clay. In NW Iowa this is mainly for light snow and some freezing rain with amounts generally being light. In NE and EC Iowa, the Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for some snow with amounts generally being between 2-4 inches of snow with some totals exceeding 6 inches in some locations. The NWS in Des Moines has yet to issue a Winter Weather Advisory, but it may later on tonight.
