A Cold Front has moved across the state this morning and northwesterly winds gusting to over 30 mph are currently blowing through. Temperatures will begin to fall slowly this afternoon after reaching highs in the 30s and 40s. Some snow that has melted may refreeze on some roads tonight and could cause some slick spots. A return to more average weather with highs in the 20s and lows in the teens will end the year and head into the new year, with the next best chance of snow on New Year’s Day. However a clipper system may bring a dusting of snow to northern Iowa tomorrow which won’t amount to much.
