A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Thursday for areas north of Interstate 80. An Ice storm warning has been issued for areas south of Interstate 80. (Some counties in far western Iowa are still under a Winter Storm Watch) Snowfall accumulations will be between 6-10 inches north of Interstate 80 with heavier isolated amounts possible. Ice accumulations of 1/2 inch will be possible in the Ice Storm Warning area. This will be the largest storm of the season so far. Travel will become dangerous by Thursday afternoon. Snow will end by midday on Friday.
