Yesterday morning, the state was in the 30s and 40s. The eastern part of the state made it into the 50s and some lower 60s, but the front that blew through yesterday took those wonderful temperatures away. They were replaced this morning by well below average temperatures. Lows this morning were well below zero with -10° being the coldest temperature recorded at Estherville, Orange City, Sheldon and Spencer, all in NW Iowa. Only the SE part of the state remained above zero with Burlington managing a 6° low. Remember yesterday afternoon, Burlington was 62° and this morning it was 56° colder.
Enough with the previous front, a new storm is approaching.
