There is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from early tomorrow morning through 6pm tomorrow night. This will be in effect for O’Brien, Dickinson, Lyon, Sioux and Plymouth Counties in NW Iowa. Snowfall on Sunday will range from 1-3 inches in the advisory area and with considerable wind, the snow will be blowing around. Wind Chills are expected to drop to between -10 and -20° on Sunday. Be very cautious if you are driving into NW Iowa or into Minnesota or the Dakotas as there are Blizzard Warnings in effect for almost all of South Dakota, all of North Dakota and the western portions of Minnesota.
Also a Wind Advisory will be in effect for SW Iowa from Sunday at 9am until 9pm Sunday evening. This will be in relation to the strong winds ahead and behind this storm system that will move into the state later tonight into Sunday.
