The sky is beginning to clear across the state this evening. Temperatures have dropped into the single digits in north central and northwest Iowa. Meanwhile, the cloud deck is keeping the temperatures up in the southern and SE portions of the state. This cloud deck will depart by midnight, along with the strong NW winds. This will lead to very cold conditions tonight, with a fresh snow pack, temperatures will fall to a few degrees either side of zero, with some locations possibly falling to -5° or -10°. Road conditions are still somewhat hazardous, especially where heavy snow fell from the storm. If you have to travel this evening, be very careful.
