A freezing Rain Advisory has been issued until 6pm this evening for the following counties in Iowa, Buchanan, Delaware, Dubuque, Benton, Linn, Jones, Jackson, Iowa, Johnson, Cedar, Clinton, Muscatine, Scott, Keokuk, Washington and Louisa. Some freezing rain and drizzle is moving across the advisory area. Whereas the amounts are light at this time, only a small amount of ice on roads will cause some travel difficulties, especially on bridges and overpasses that haven’t been treated. The Winter Storm Watch is still in effect for areas north of Interstate 80 for later tonight into Tuesday. Amounts of 3-8 inches are still possible in the northern part of the state from this developing storm system.
