Travel Not Advised

Travel is not advised on some roads in central Iowa this evening. Towing Services have been prohibited on some roads as well, meaning if you get stuck in the ditch or the median, you will not be towed until the services can be restored which will most likely be tomorrow morning. Amounts close to 5 inches has fallen in Central Iowa with 2-4 inch amounts widespread across the state east of US Hwy 169. If you don’t need to travel tonight, stay at home. If you do need to travel, be very cautious as temperatures are falling back below freezing and some untreated roads may become slippery later tonight.
