Amounts close to 5 inches has fallen in Central Iowa with 2-4 inch amounts widespread across the state east of US Hwy 169. If you don’t need to travel tonight, stay at home. If you do need to travel, be very cautious as temperatures are falling back below freezing and some untreated roads may become slippery later tonight.
