* AT 614 PM CST…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THE MOST
DANGEROUS PART OF THE STORM WAS LOCATED 6 MILES WEST OF HAMBURG…
OR 23 MILES NORTHWEST OF TARKIO…MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE…
HAMBURG…RIVERTON…SIDNEY AND FARRAGUT

THE WARNED AREA INCLUDES INTERSTATE 29 IN IOWA BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 1
AND 10.

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A
WORKBENCH OR A PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF A BASEMENT IS NOT
AVAILABLE…SEEK SHELTER ON THE LOWEST LEVEL OF THE BUILDING. GO TO
AN INTERIOR ROOM OR HALLWAY. USE BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO COVER YOUR
