This is election day and the weather won’t be a worry for voting. Polls are open in Iowa until 9pm. There should be no problem heading out to the polls.
There is still a slight risk of severe weather in Iowa for Wednesday for areas west of a line from Forest City to Marshalltown to Centerville. The main threats look to be large hail and damaging winds with a tornado possible, although the best chances of tornadoes will be to the south.
Snow is still forecasted for Friday across the state. There should be no accumulation from this storm.
