Midnight Update

Showers and thunderstorms continue developing mainly in SW Iowa. Earlier thunderstorms that were in northern Missouri have weakened slightly and have moved in SE Iowa. The rain with embedded thunder (mainly south) will continue through the overnight hours. Rainfall will be heaviest in the western part of the state as discussed in earlier posts.

Rain continues in the western part of the state, with the concentrated rain west of a Boone to Winterset line. Scattered showers exist elsewhere west of Interstate 35.
