A flood watch continues until 6am for the following counties in Iowa, Adair, Adams, Audubon, Carroll, Cass, Crawford, Decatur, Guthrie, Ringgold, Sac, Taylor and Union. Heavy rain in the previous 24-36 hours with an additional inch of rain possible tonight could lead to rises in streams and rivers over the next few days in these areas, flash flooding is not likely. A flood warning is in effect for the Chariton River at Chariton. The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning and crest a foot above flood stage tomorrow evening, then fall below flood stage Friday afternoon.
