Rain is now moving into the state this afternoon. It’s light in nature and some reporting stations are reporting only drizzle or no rain at all due to the dry air that enveloped the state last night bringing temperatures down well into the 20s in the northern part of the state. Eventually the rain will win out and move across the state tonight. A few thundershowers are possible tonight, but are expected to remain below severe weather limits. The latest QPF chart taken this morning shows amounts of up to 3 inches west of Interstate 35 with widespread 1-2 inches elsewhere.
