Showers and Storms on the way out

Showers and thunderstorms are ongoing in the NE part of the state this morning. The rain is mainly NE of a line from Algona to Muscatine, with the concentrated rain falling near Mason City at this hour (7:45am). The rain will be out of the state by mid morning, the sky will begin to clear and the temperature will soar. Temps will be in the mid 60s in the NE where it will be cloudy the longest to the low 80s SW where it has already cleared. The warm weather won’t last long as a cold front is expected tomorrow afternoon with more showers and thunderstorms along it.

NOTE: The last two days I’ve been in Alabama doing the blog, so there has been fewer posts than normal, however I will be returning tomorrow night and the blog should return to normal at that time.
