Rain’s Northward March

At 2pm, the shield of light to moderate rain was located roughly along and south of US Hwy 30. This will continue moving northward through the rest of the afternoon.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from 7pm tonight until 1pm Saturday for the following counties, Adair, Adams, Appanoose, Clarke, Davis, Decatur, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Tama, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Warren, Wayne, Buchanan, Delaware, Dubuque, Benton, Linn, Jones, Jackson, Iowa, Johnson, Cedar, Clinton, Muscatine, Scott, Keokuk, Washington, Louisa, Jefferson, Henry, Van Buren.
There is a Flash Flood Watch that will be in effect now through 7am tomorrow morning for Montgomery, Fremont and Page counties in SW Iowa. A Flood Watch is in effect until 1pm tomorrow afternoon for Clayton and Fayette Counties in NE Iowa.

Rainfall in the next five days could reach up to 5 inches and given what has fallen over the last few days could cause some rivers to rise. Already the English River at Kalona is under a Flood Warning right now. Other rivers could do the same.
