The rain is mainly south of US Hwy 34 this morning, with a few isolated showers or sprinkles elsewhere. The rain should stay mainly south of US Hwy 34 for most of the day before moving back north late this afternoon and overspreading the area this evening into Saturday. It will be a sloppy field for high school football teams in many areas of the state tonight for their games and the Iowa vs Iowa State game Saturday morning could be the same.
