The Rain shield has moved to the US Hwy 20 Corridor with the heaviest rain falling SW of Des Moines. The rain is continuing its march northward and will cover most if not all of the state by 6pm. Flash Flood and Flood Watches continue in the SE 1/2 of Iowa through Saturday midday. Rainfall rates of up to 1/2 inch an hour are likely in some of the heavier showers as they move across the state.
