Late Afternoon Radar Look

Some showers have developed across the state of Iowa this afternoon. These showers, especially the smaller ones, will not last very long and just wet the ground. However, some larger and more intense showers will dump a few tenths of an inch. A line of showers from south of Grundy Center to SE of Guthrie Center is the largest concentration of showers across the state at just before 5pm. These showers are moving to the east. There are other isolated showers across the rest of the state (except the NW). Severe Weather is not expected.

  1. Got a lot of updates on the blog, enjoy reading your views… You just a hobbyist or do you know a lot about the weather through some actual education??

  2. Both, I’ve had some education but it wasn’t getting me anywhere (Getting into debt). I’ve been into meteorology since I was very young and enjoy the aspects of weather in Iowa and the surrounding Midwest I hope you continue to enjoy my posts. The blog idea came from an actual meteorologist in another state (outside Iowa).
