Thought I’d put an update to the books being written about the Iowa Flood this past June. The book “Un-Natural Disasters” which is about the EF5 tornado in Parkersburg and the Floods of 2008 is in post production according to author Terry Swails and his wife Carolyn Wettstone who were interviewed by Ron Steele on KWWL Friday night after the Aplington-Parkersburg vs West Marshall football game. That book which can be ordered from KWWL’s Website in the blue box will be sent out in late October or early November. This book comes with a DVD.
The Book “Epic Surge” that is being compiled by the Gazette (Cedar Rapids) and KCRG TV 9 will have limited quanities. You can order the book, the DVD or both at this site.
Part of the money raised (if not all) will go to flood relief efforts in the state. The Gazette book should be out in November or so.
Just finished TSUNAMI . It seemed so real, I canceled my walk on the beach this evening.
I couldn’t put it down. I read it from cover to cover. Gordan Gumpertz, the author, has some excellent writing techniques.
This should make it to the movies it’s so good!
