More Rain Coming

Gustav’s outer bands are about to move into Iowa this afternoon. The rainfall will be very heavy in the eastern part of the state. The new QPF has rainfall amounts around 5 inches along the Mississippi River with amounts over 1 inch east of a Marquette to Mount Ayr line with 3 inches likely east of a line from Bellevue to Centerville. There could be a possibility of flooding mainly in the SE part of the state with the likely areas being in Illinois and Missouri. Rain could last through at least Saturday.
