The weather this week in Iowa will be dependent on what happens in the tropics. As odd as that might sound. Gustav’s moisture could move in later this week into the state. Hanna will have no impact on Iowa’s weather at all but to slow progression of storm systems throughout the United States. Tropical Storm Ike and Tropical Storm Josephine are still too early to determine where they will go and how they might impact the weather here. So when you wonder why they mention tropical weather on TV here during weather forecasts, there’s a good reason why, you never know when they (or their remnants) might effect Iowa.
