A few showers and thunderstorms have developed in far SW Iowa near the Missouri border. These storms are moving to the east at about 25mph. Elsewhere the sky has cleared through the NW 2/3rds of the state as the cold front as progressed eastward. Temperatures have rebounded into the 80s in the western part of the state while in the east clouds have kept temperatures in the 76-81 degree range with higher humidities then out west. The slight risk of severe weather has shifted a bit further east, the risk is now east of a line from Dubuque to Washington to Lamoni. A weather watch is likely to be issued in SE Iowa later this afternoon as these storms develop and move to the east.
