Aside from a few showers in Worth County in NC Iowa and a few showers entering into Sioux and Plymouth Counties in NW Iowa, it continues to be dry across the state. Thunderstorm initation may not occur until after midnight. The conditions are similiar to the thunderstorm complex that formed in NW Iowa early this morning. When initation occurs, the storms may become severe quite quickly and may dump as much as 1 inch of rain in a very short period of time. The storm system will move across the state on Thursday and will leave the state with a near-perfect Labor Day weekend ahead.
