A cold front moving in from the northwest will bring in more chances of precipitation tonight into Saturday in Iowa. The amounts should be no more than 1/2 of an inch but isolated amounts close to 1 inch are not out of the question. Severe Weather is possible north of a line from Cresco to Garner to Algona, but most of the severe weather will likely stay in Minnesota closer to the low. If any storm becomes severe in Iowa, the likely threats would be large hail and damaging winds. The storm system will pull out of the state Saturday afternoon, bringing slightly cooler temperatures, but a noticeable reduction in the humidity.
