The next chance of rain in Iowa seems to be on Thursday, but the better chances will await until the weekend with a system moving on Saturday from the west. Some storms could be severe but chances of any severe weather will be better determined as the weekend draws closer. Some models have Fay, the tropical storm near Florida heading back into the Gulf of Mexico. Whether that will effect the weather patterns for Iowa will be better determined later in the week. The likely forecast would call for the storm to stay well east of Iowa and be picked up by a trough moving into in the middle of next week.
