All of Iowa

Early Morning Outlook

Wednesday’s weather in Iowa should be tranquil with isolated showers and thunderstorms mainly the further west in the state you are. A northwesterly flow is developing thus bringing cooler and drier air in from Canada. This is a welcome sight after a few days of intense humidity and in some areas intense heat. Temperatures will be at or slightly below average for the next few days with nighttime temperatures cool enough to leave the windows open and have the AC turned off. Looking ahead the pattern doesn’t look like it’ll change as the flow will remain out of Canada and temperatures will continue to be pleasant.

Anyone going to the Iowa State Fair which begins in Des Moines on Thursday will have pleasant temperatures. We will begin a look at each day’s forecast for the State Fair beginning later today for the next day.
