Iowa missed out on the tornadoes that were possible tonight. Since the storms formed in eastern Iowa, they didn’t have time to fully develop circulations until right at the Mississippi River. There’s been numerous reports of tornado touchdowns in the Chicago area. Numerous tornado warnings remain in effect in the Chicago Metro area. We were lucky.
