Quiet for Now

Right now it has been fairly quiet in the state today aside from a few scattered sprinkles. There is still a chance for a thunderstorm tonight mainly the further NE in the state you are. Otherwise temperatures will settle into the 70s by Midnight. At 9pm there were still heat index readings over 90 at Shenandoah (96), Council Bluffs (96) and Red Oak (91). This is where a heat advisory remains in effect through tomorrow afternoon. The rest of the state will see their humidity values increase for tomorrow along with the temperatures with possible heat index readings tomorrow eclipsing 100 in many places.
